A Refuge Summer Weekend Now Runs On The Clubhouse Clock Again

A Refuge Summer Weekend Now Runs On The Clubhouse Clock Again

For most of 2022 and 2023, a Saturday morning inside the gates of The Refuge sounded like any other quiet cul-de-sac in north Lake Havasu City. The golf course was closed, the restaurant was dark, and the pool gate stayed latched. Residents drove past the shared south entrance on Arnold Palmer Drive on their way into town for coffee, for a burger, for anything that used to happen a hundred yards from their own driveways. That is no longer the shape of a weekend here. The clubhouse at 3275 N. Latrobe Drive has reopened in stages under new ownership as Iron Wolf Golf & Country Club at the Refuge, and the small daily decisions residents make, where to eat on a Friday, where to send visiting family on a Sunday morning, where to walk after dinner, have quietly reorganized around it.

What Actually Reopened At The South Gate

The short version of the ownership story matters, because it explains why the property looks different than the one longtime residents remember.
